Julie Lancaster is a Los Angeles–based actor. As a child she was equally drawn to the arts and athletics, studying violin and piano while obsessed with The Sound of Music.

There was even a brief moment she considered becoming a nun like Maria—until she realized she could simply play one… or a policewoman, or a queen, or anything else that caught her imagination.

She began her career in theatre and commercials in Dallas before moving to New York City, where she trained at Circle in the Square Theatre School. She has since worked across theatre, television, and film.

She is still waiting to play a nun.
